IHIG is the culmination of many years of concerted planning to bring Pakistan on the map as a tourist destination. However, the journey has just began.

I remember vividly the first time when I pondered over this simple question: when Pakistan has nature’s most gorgeous landscapes, hundreds of miles of turquoise blue coastline, historical treasures like lost civilization and thousands of religious shrines, cultural heritage that combines races and religions, and people so friendly that it’s hard to pay street vendors (they wont accept money from visitors), why then is Pakistan still undiscovered by globetrotters?

Years past but the thought remained embedded in the back of my mind. I often caught myself negotiating with likeminded people on how to make Pakistan a tourist’s #1 choice.

I believe in miracles because IHIG seems to answer my most cherished desire. I want to put Pakistan on the map as a country worth visiting no matter what you fancy on your vacation.

So let’s get started.

Step 1: Build domestic tourism. IHIG will uplift the quality of vacation for Pakistani families. This is easier said than done. But if we want international tourists to visit Pakistan, we better create inroads by developing a strong internal tourism market. So IHIG will first focus on domestic tourism. Step 2: Repeat Step 1.

There you have it. This is our roadmap to make Pakistan a global tourism destination. And here’s the secret ingredient: we will do all of the above and much more by focusing on making one family happy at a time.

Call me a romantic fool but I refuse to give to others what I would not accept for my own people and my own family.
